Nice game! Honestly I'm happy that I actually got a good story out of it, because so many games leave it way too broad that there's not enough to draw on. I like myself a good conclusion. Can't wait to see how this game ties in with Things Lost. I mean the setting definitely looks incredibly similar so yeah.

Glad you liked it!
Actually it looks so similar bc i used default assets for maps😅

i loved this!! it was so fun & creative with a great story!! :D

(SPOILERS)

i really really like the gameplay! being a confessor and every day talking to a different ghost to try to give them peace is such a unique concept, and it was really cool how each errand escalated. starting with going to a nearby forest and ending up going to increasingly remote towns felt natural and well thought out. and all the different areas were really memorable; i'm impressed with how distinct everything feels with esentially just default assets and screen tints. i loved the graveyard and the visual and audio effects when you listen to a ghost, it was creepy haha. i loved the moving vehicles in the police station town, it's such a tiny detail but it made that part really memorable. the story & presentation come together to make a game that feels really unique :>

the story was great too! at first i thought what the spirits said would be disconnected from each other, but seeing everything coming together as i learned more and more about the town's past was awesome and super satisfying. it was a little hard to follow since there were so many names and different storylines but overall i got the gist of everything so it's not a big deal. and the story being so intriguing is aided by the great characters! i loved aurinko; her cheeriness and passion towards being a confessor made her absurdly endearing haha, and i got really invested in her quest towards finding out what really happened. all the other characters were great too! i loved the creepy girl, the shy boy at the library, the police officer beefing with his coworker... (and their face sprites were neat & pretty expressive, definitely felt like an improvement over the previous game of the series) and the twist around father tommu was super well done; at first i thought he'd be the murderer all along or something like that, but finding out what he actually did was BRILLIANT. really fit with the game's themes of regret and not being able to "fix" what happened, just to let people confess and move on (and i'm glad to hear the good ending is the canon one haha, the bad one was really depressing-). i loved how the game's story was presented with that in mind. instead of trying to bring people to justice, or fixing anything that happened in the past, you just have to hear confessions and let people rest in peace. it was so so unique. god this game is great.

there's honestly very little stuff i didn't like? like i said the storylines were a little hard to follow but it wasn't horrible. some areas felt kind of empty, and a few transition events were a bit weird in where they were activated and in what direction they left you facing. but that's about it, and in general the technical aspects feel really improved from the last game. oh! and i forgot to say this in that game, but i played this in browser and i love how you changed the loading screens!! it's a super small detail but they have so much personality :D

this game is yet another proof of how talented you are with storytelling!! and i can't wait to see how this series ends up connecting each story. for now it seems the games are linked with themes of death and past mistakes, right? hope to see what the most recent game (for now) has in store! :D

thank you very much  for the review!💚
personally i think it's my second best game; initially i just needed to distract from my main project and make something casual and simple(i failed so bad lol!) Aurinko was supposed to be a witch listening to graves and performing some misterious rituals in the forest, or swamp and other creepy places. No other characters, no dialogs, no idea how it should end. AND NO IDEA how it became a detective story with the whole world and lore around it. I can't remember how i did that😅 Well, Aurinko still a little witchy with her ginger hair and green eyes i guess. (I want to make a halloween game in the same universe, just to dress Aurinko and Enfys as witches:>🎃. Probably it will be series final)
Now i'm working on the spin-off for detective Westwood🕵🏻‍♂️!
I'm happy you liked it!

Oh wow, this was a really nicely put together game! I loved all the characters, and I was suspicious that any one of them could be connected to the culprit(s) in the end- or there was some secret mastermind... like before, I really wanted to see more of the story/characters! I think if this was expanded, it'd be really cool!

I love the touch of not running inside the church and near the cemetery! I also liked how carefree Aurinko seemed- just walking into a police station asking "can i see some old records please? ^w^" I think she's just a really cute character! I felt so bad with the bad end, so I hope the Good end is canon, haha;;

Also! I think the librarian being shy around her was really cute! I loved his little sprite wandering to the bookshelves! Really nice game!~

Thank youuu💚

ohhhh, i forgot to tell - good ending is a canon one:))

thank you so much😍
I like Enfys too! I'm planning to make spin-offs for all side characters from this game
